Miami Dolphins Player Fined, Suspended, Ordered To Undergo Sensitivity Training After Tweeting OMG In Response To Michael Sam Kissing Boyfriend
Miami Dolphins defensive back Don Jones was fined an undisclosed amound and suspended form team activities in the wake of two tweets Jones sent out that were critical of Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend
We were disappointed to read Dons tweets during the NFL Draft, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said in a statement that announced the suspension. They were inappropriate and unacceptable, and we regret the negative impact these comments had on such an important weekend for the NFL.
Jones who has since made his Twitter account private will be allowed to rejoin the team once he completes educational training.
I want to apologize to Michael Sam for the inappropriate comments that I made last night on social media, Jones said. I take full responsibility for them and I regret that these tweets took away from his draft moment.
Jones tweeted out omg as the video of Sam embracing his boyfriend, Vito, aired on ESPN after the St. Louis Rams selected Sam the first openly gay NFL prospect in the seventh round. Jones then responded horrible when asked if the first tweet was in reference to Sam.
He deleted the tweets soon thereafter. But the internet is in permanent ink something his Dolphins teammate Mike Pouncey learned days earlier and Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald took a screen grab of the the second Jones. NJ.com has cropped out the Tweet Jones responded to due to offensive language.
The first exposure I has to such nonsense was with Michael Richards (Kramer) in 2006. During a stand up routine at a comedy club he responded to heckling in an 'unsensitive' manner and was hustled off school for 'sensitivity training' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ri...actory_incident
Regardless of the tone of this article, I'd say Mr. Jones has gotten off pretty easy for his . . . uh . . . lapse in judgement in going against liberal orthodoxy.
Zero has already blessed this tremendous milestone occasion (homosexuals in the NFL) - and we all know Zero doesn't tolerate . . . uh . . . diverse opinions. Especially when they run counter to his own.
Jones should thank his lucky stars that he's not on the receiving end of one of Barry's drones.
And by the way - I've seen this Michael Sam play football. He's a menace on the gridiron. A consensus all-American at Missouri and The Associated Presss defensive player of the year in the Southeastern Conference (and Jadeveon Clowney wasn't).
How is it that this young man wasn't drafted until the 7th Round?
Could it be that NFL teams had reservations about drafting an openly sodomite man?
If Mr. Jones is sent to sensitivity training, then the entire NFL should be sent to re-education camps for their sin of passing over Michael Sam.
Hypocrites.
The NFL will allow one theirs to be punished for saying what everyone in the league was thinking.

Perhaps the teams are concerned that if they cut Sams they will be opening themselves up for a discrimination lawsuit.
I, too, have seen reports on Sams but they state he is too small and not quick enough to play effectively in the NFL. So while this is true, A consensus all-American at Missouri and The Associated Presss defensive player of the year in the Southeastern Conference , those honors are suspect as they may have resulted from the knowledge Sams is a homo. I am not saying they did, perhaps he deserved them, but in this day and age one has a right to be suspicious since so many "honors" are based on race or now sexual orientation.

And some people aren't happy with that award to the "Big O" and want it revoked. Here's why the peacniks are saying that:
