Officers were sent to an apartment complex near 4th and Lewis St when a caller told us his neighbor was pounding on the walls.. We arrived and found that the resident had somehow managed to lock himself in his apartment. He told us he had been locked inside for about 3 days.

After getting the door open, we gave the resident some instruction on how to work the locks and such at his house.

It is a funny story but in fairness it must be pointed out that the resident is elderly. Perhaps he shouldn't be living alone.
