Stop Hating White People and Maybe They’ll Vote for You It’s either that or the Magical Intersectional Muslim Transwomen Coalition. November 18, 2016 Daniel Greenfield
After a competitive race between the FBI and sexism, the left decided to blame “white people” for Hillary’s defeat.
Racist white people refused to vote for a white woman who was married to the country’s first black president. Samantha Bee, who enjoyed 15 seconds of fame replacing John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart as the whiny obnoxious lefty id, declared that white people ruined America.
“Spare me the euphemisms. White people made Trump president,” a Washington Post headline blared. "White people did this. And maybe (hopefully) not my friends — but certainly their cousins, their uncles, and their friends," a racist Vox writer shrieked.
“White people elected Donald Trump," Vice bleated. "White people put Trump in office," Fusion whined.
Majorities of white people did indeed vote for Donald Trump. Oddly enough the left’s culture war of hating white people has only made them more likely to vote for anyone other than the left.
Funny how that works.
Trump won by boosting margins and turnout among working class white voters. The same group that the left trashes in its tirades about “white people”. When Samantha Bee says that white people ruined America, she isn’t talking about herself or the white hipsters sharing her videos on social media. We all know it means the bad kind of white people who shop at Walmart instead of Whole Foods, who drink Pabst unironically, who don’t listen to TED talks or own their privilege, who didn’t graduate from Amherst or from any college, but who fly American flags, drive pickup trucks and serve in the military.
A whole lot of those folks used to vote Democrat. Some kept on voting that way until fairly recently.
But the left grabbed the wheel of the Democrat Party, shoved the white working class out the door and replaced it with a glittery rainbow coalition of illegal aliens, Muslims and transgender activists who lost the White House, Congress, the Supreme Court and all but a handful of state legislatures.
Forget losing the South. That’s old news. Republicans won Pennsylvania and have the biggest legislative dominance since Eisenhower. Trump came the closest since Nixon to taking Minnesota and Republicans now have a state senate majority. Do we really need to talk about Wisconsin, Ohio or Michigan?
What happened?
White men were racist and sexist. The white men who had voted for Obama but switched to Trump were more sexist than racist. The white women who voted for Trump over Hillary were, in the words of Hillary’s communications director, suffering from “internalized misogyny”.
Or maybe they just didn’t like being hated. Here’s what the left’s social justice politics had to offer them.
"White Women Failed Hillary Clinton. They Also Failed Other Women", "White Women Sent a Terrible Message on Tuesday", "Blame White Women for Country's Failure to Shatter Glass Ceiling" and "White Women Sold Out the Sisterhood and the World". Maybe even the galaxy and the universe.
The latter article whined that, “Most white women don’t want to be part of an intersectional feminist sisterhood” because they “identify more with white men than they do with black women, Latina women, Muslim women, transwomen” and defected from “the coalition of nonwhite, nonstraight, nonmale voters who were supposed to carry Clinton to a comfortable victory”.
Why would they ever do that?
In that intersectional feminist sisterhood, white women occupy the lowest possible rung and are constantly denounced for their privilege. White feminism is a slur. Why didn’t white women want to stick around in the intersectional sisterhood where they can be inferior to Muslim nonstraight transwomen and fight for their right to blow themselves up in the ladies’ room of a Target?
Maybe calling them names and blaming them for Hillary’s loss will help. The beatings will continue until intersectional morale improves. Next time around those uppity white women will know that they have to be part of the intersectional sisterhood or there will be even more namecalling and insults.
Lefties like to believe that they lost because the voters who picked the other side are bad people. They’re deplorable racists and sexists. They’re haters. But maybe they just don’t like being hated.
The great modern myth of the Democrat Party is that their current coalition arose because they fought for civil rights while the Republicans courted Southern racists. But that myth falls apart on even a casual examination of voting patterns. Nor does it explain why all those racists flocked to a party that had been far more active and vocal about civil rights. Why did they decide that Eisenhower’s VP who had cut an ad with Wilt Chamberlain advocating “Black Power” and mandated affirmative action was their guy?
Leftists didn’t make a principled decision to jettison the white working class. They made a classist one. Their motive wasn’t civil rights. It’s the same malicious impulse that is generating all those “white people” posts from the social justice class. To the extent that their troubles had anything to do with the civil rights movement, it was because the hostility and contempt of the elitist left expressed itself in punitive measures such as busing and legislation that shifted power to their centers of authority.
That’s why the bleeding has never stopped. Instead it’s only gotten worse.
Progressives are too besotted with their imaginary victimhood, holding ritual cry-ins at Cornell and fondling therapy dogs on Capitol Hill, to grasp that they fought on the wrong side of a class war.
And that they lost. This election wasn’t about Obama’s race or Hillary’s sex. It was about power and contempt.
Imagine the monstrous entitlement of millionaires like Aaron Sorkin writing open letters to their daughters because his favored candidate lost the election. What open letters was a coal miner put out of work by his political movement writing to his daughter?
Obama and Hillary boasted about putting coal miners out of work. Does Sorkin really think that Coal Country voted against her because they didn’t want his entitled daughter to have an equally entitled role model? Does he think that Republicans took control of the Kentucky legislature for the first time since 1921 because they were racists and sexists? Or because they were put out of work by the left?
Isn’t it funny how their wives who were trying to juggle three kids and part time work, and a depressed husband, didn’t show much interest in the intersectional sisterhood of Muslim transwomen.
This didn’t happen because of climate change. Climate change has a way of killing “dirty jobs” that the wrong kind of people have and replacing them with the right kind of “Green Jobs” that the right people qualify for, of moving money and jobs from Kentucky to San Francisco, and leaving behind misery.
And then when the people who have been kicked around fight back, the beneficiaries of their misery switch from watching John Oliver videos to bemoaning the deplorable “white people” of the underclass.
Some Democrat strategists want to learn how to “talk to white people” again. Meanwhile the left is doubling down on showing them the door. The left is pushing former Nation of Islam racist Keith Ellison for DNC chair. Because if there’s anything that will save the party, it’s putting a racist who represents a district with the largest concentration of Somali Muslims in the state in charge of formulating its future.
Ellison supports racist cop killers, hates Israel, and has a past with a hate group that believes white people are “devils” who are the spawn of a mad scientist’s experiment and will be wiped out by UFOs.
If that won’t win over white voters, what will?
But the white man is the devil isn’t just the creed of the Nation of Islam. It’s also the core belief of the progressive left. They might be snarkier at it than Farrakhan, but it all comes down to the same thing.
Both the Nation of Islam and the Democrats hate white people. That’s why Keith Ellison is perfect for DNC chair.
People won’t vote for you if you hate them. The Democrats let the left take over. The rest is history.
If the Democrats stop hating white people, maybe they can start winning white votes again. It’s either that or bet on Keith Ellison and his Magical Intersectional Muslim Transwomen Coalition.
This exploitation of racial divisions concerns me greatly. The black community is daily being taught white people are the cause of all their problems and we are seeing fruits of that in the "knock out game", "polar bear hunting", and such things as the recent incident where a white voter was attacked for being a Trump voter. This does augur well for our collective future.
That said, this sentence in the piece caught my attention:
ZitatWhen Samantha Bee says that white people ruined America, she isn’t talking about herself or the white hipsters sharing her videos on social media.
Taki Magazine, a website I much enjoy, has developed a classification system based on one's political positions. Individuals like Samantha Bee are the "Good Whites", people like me, and probably you, are "Bad Whites".
ZitatThe black community is daily being taught white people are the cause of all their problems
I grew up in Essex county NJ. I loved on the E Orange side of the E Orange - Newark Border. I attended school (grades 1 - 8) on the Newark side. I was a tallish, very fair, shy, geeky kid who walked about 1 mile each way to school.
This meme was around back then. I'd have groups of black kids come up and taunt me and blame me for all their problems. Fortunately they only resorted to words, not violence.
It is sad that that meme has spread country wide, into churches, into government, into the media and now carries an implicit excuse, even mandate, for violence against random whites, for 'acting the fool'.
Sadder yet many whites have been conditioned to accept the verbal and physical assaults as their due.To stand up for yourself has been labeled racist, homophobic, islamophobic, sexist. The epithets redneck and honky have been replaced by deplorable, irredeemable.
The escalation has been driven by Obama and his fellow 'progressives'
A divided population is much easier to manage in the arrogant pursuit of idealistic heaven on earth.
P.S.@Cincinnatus Thanks for reminding me of Taki Magazine. I haven't been out their in a while.
