These people are brazen. But then again, why not? The Clintons get away with everything.
ZitatAs his wife is under federal investigation for her use of a private email server, former President Bill Clinton met privately with U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Airport Monday evening in what both sides say was an unplanned encounter.
An aide to Bill Clinton confirmed to CBS News that the meeting wasn't planned in advance: Clinton realized she would be on the same tarmac at the same time and wanted to say hello, adding that it's a courtesy Clinton "always extends" to public officials.
The meeting comes as former secretary of State Hillary Clinton is still under investigation for her email practices--and also came the day before House Republicans released a report criticizing the Obama administration's response to the 2012 Benghazi attacks.
Lynch told reporters that the topics of Benghazi and Clinton's email server did not come up, and that she and Clinton spoke largely about his grandchildren, golf and travel.
I just read that the FBI is interviewing Hillary on Sunday. Supposedly the last interview slated. Now you know darn well the Clintons knew this days ago.
IMO Bill decided to bar the torpedoes and barge onto Lynch's plane to pick her brain and read her body language about where this thing was going and how Hillary could best snooker the FBI. After all, what's a little unethical conduct among friends?
As an added bonus, he could sniff her out on the whole Clinton Foundation thing. (Recall she said they "primarily" discussed family. Fill in blanks here.)
ZitatAttorney General Loretta Lynch said Friday that she will accept the decision of career prosecutors, investigators and FBI Director James Comey on whether to bring criminal charges in the ongoing investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of State.
The unusual public announcement during an event in Aspen, Colo., comes as the attorney general faces a storm of criticism related to an awkward encounter with former president Bill Clinton after the two crossed paths earlier this week at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport.
"This case will be resolved by the team that has been working on it from the beginning,'' Lynch said, acknowledging that the meeting with Bill Clinton had "cast a shadow'' over the ongoing inquiry.
"I certainly wouldn't do this again,'' she said of the meeting.
On Monday, Lynch was arriving in Phoenix in advance of a community policing event as Clinton was departing when the former president relayed through a security detail that he would like to say hello and subsequently boarded Lynch's government plane.
The attorney general acknowledged the meeting with the former president but said there was no discussion of the investigation involving his wife, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Rather, Lynch said it was a "social'' visit where they largely discussed the former president's grandchildren.
"...largely discussed the former president's grandchildren." Wow, Billy must carry lots and lots of photos with him. Beyond that, it's an amazing coincidence the two of them just happened to be at the Phoenix airport at the same time even though Lynch's travel itinerary included no such visit. Where is Ripley on this one?
That Chris guy on Fox (a big Trump hater, BTW) has a theory that the FBI will come down on Hill and so Bill decided to muddy the waters with Lynch to create a diversion. A number of democrats tuned in on their secret decoder ring and are now beginning to call for an independent prosecutor. (He's right...been following the rhetoric for the last 24 hours?)
THAT would certainly drag this thing out, possibly for years.
I gotten so cynical about the government - especially anything involving the current regime and/or the Xlintons - that I put absolutely NOTHING past them.
People say "well, the FBI is beyond reproach" and James Comey is a stand up guy". I say to that - "how do we know?" Really?
Limbaugh was saying on his program yesterday that we're all being had - being set up.
Having observed the Xlintons and their sycophants for the last 25 years or so, he may have a point.
