McCain criticizes Cruz for Nazi appeaser comparison

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took issue with Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) characterization that some who support proceeding with a House-spending measure are similar to Nazi “appeasers.”
“I do not begrudge Sen. Cruz or any other senators who wants to talk as long as they can … but I do disagree strongly that there are people here today like those prior to WWII who did not stand up against the atrocities in Germany,” McCain said. “It is inappropriate and wrong.”
Cruz said during his 21-hour floor speech, that he suspected that the same pundits who say defunding ObamaCare can’t be done would have been the same people that in the 1940s said the United States could not defeat the Nazis.
Cruz took to the floor to try to convince his Republican colleague not to support efforts to advance a House-pass continue spending resolution that defund ObamaCare because Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will likely remove that language.
Reid is expected to advance H.J.Res. 59 with an amendment to remove the House language that defunds ObamaCare. A vote to end debate on the motion to proceed is expected around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The government will shut down Oct. 1 if Congress doesn't approve some form of government funding measure.
Cruz criticized some Republicans for going along with advancing the measure despite knowing what Reid has planned. He said they weren’t doing enough to stop the healthcare law.

McCain,
you and your ilk are nothing but cowardly, Vichy RINO sell outs!
You know there is tyranny in America when Government pleads the Fifth.
