He claims that the number of people receiving social security payments exceeds the number of American citizens.

RT reports: Earlier this month, Musk claimed that a cursory review of Social Security recore claimds by his department had found out that the safety net program is paying benefits to 150-year-olds. The businessman noted that many entries listed for Social Security recipients had no identifying information.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the US-based billionaire noted that “there are far more ‘eligible’ social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA.” Musk also shared a post by an X user suggesting that social security payment is currently received by 394,943,364 people and claiming that total population of the US amounts to 334 million.

“This might be the biggest fraud in history,” Musk concluded.

If this story is even 1/10 true it is a massive fraud, and would be contributing mightily to SS's pending insolvency. One of the reasons I point this out is because this report can be found on any number of news outlets where most adhere to their anti-Trump obsessiveness and focus on their claim Musk offers no proof of his accusations.

The reaction to DOGE claims of fraud, misuse, etc., are a wonder to behold. Most center around accusations of lack of proof which I find somewhat amusing since if Musk and Trump were found to be faking it that would completely destroy their credibility. Other objections are that Musk & Co. lack the proper authority to obtain certain data (I assume Trump has dealt with that), and similar questions about Musk and his team.

It strikes me the critics, with the exception of the reflexively anti-Trump gang, are deeply concerned about other matters, such as just what did happen to the unaccounted for and missing money.
