Is the USA ready to become the next socialist utopian State? There are ways that this is being forced upon us right now, even if it’s not apparent nor what we want.
The creation of an ever-burgeoning underclass by a President bent on forcing millions of illegal immigrants upon the Country, is creating an imbalance which is slowly transforming America. from a nation of independent, self-reliant individuals into a nation of needy dependents, incapable of fending for themselves, but able to vote.
The transformation of America’s healthcare system into a government controlled behemoth is demanding that more of our economy come under the control of the feds. Currently healthcare is at 17% of the nation’s gross domestic product and when this additional percentage moves under government control, watch out!
The creation of more public sector employment. With every click in this direction, the top down bureaucracy grows, expanding the percentage of Americans who see the government as key to their family's well-being and survival.
The more aspects of our lives that come under control of the federal government, the more we are beholden to the feds for our every need. Pay attention America. We are being moved toward this socialist utopian dream, realize it or not.
At a point in the not-too-distant-future the government’s top-down cultural dictates will become mandatory and will be enforced by this newly formed civilian army. We saw the federal agencies fall in line during the government shut down in 2012, closing National Parks and punishing the people. It was harsh and scary! We saw in Houston the subpoena of Pastor's sermons. Today this civilian army has been built to fight terrorists, but as the need presents itself tomorrow, this army will morph into the go-to agency for intimidation and enforcement.
As the State becomes more powerful it will force upon us things we never dreamed possible. We will have no more liberty and freedom to choose our own way. This may seem far-fetched but it isn’t that far away and a large segment of our society hates what America has stood for and can't wait to bring this revolution to pass.

"This may seem far-fetched"
IMHO not far fetched at all. In fact It's largely a done deal, foisted upon us slowly over decades when we weren't looking.
This song by the Temptations keep rolling around in my head. I would just change the tense to past not future.
